We just wanted to say thank you for prayerfully considering a role, and we wanted to encourage you to let us know if you have any questions at all about this year's program or any role in which you might be serving. We know that you may need to check calendars, as well as make a final decision, so just know that we'd love to have you be a part of the team!
- We'll continue to recruit at church over the next few weeks, and after that time, we'll make follow-up calls and contacts in an effort to confirm everyone's commitment.
- During the month of August, we'll also be working to decorate classrooms and prepare the Education wing for Rally Day - we may invite you and others to help us with those efforts, so feel free to join in!
- Last - we will be holding a Kickoff/Orientation session for all Sunday School staff on Sunday, August 28th, at 9:30am in the Family Life Center. We will also be holding a makeup session on Sunday, September 11th following the 11:00 service (this is also Rally Day).
Thanks again for stopping by the table today and for expressing an interest. If you've already decided for sure that you'd like to teach or shepherd, just let us know! We'll ink your name in on the poster at church! :) And don't forget - if you have a fellow Calvary member in mind who you'd either like to partner with or recommend to us for other Sunday School roles, please let us know! We are encouraging folks to partner up if they are more comfortable having a co-teacher or shepherd.
Blessings,
Allison, Melanie and Mary
Author: (excerpt from "Within My Power" by Forest Witcraft)
One hundred years from now
It won't matter
What kind of car I drove
What kind of house I lived in
How much money I had in the bank
Nor what my clothes looked like
BUT
The world may be a little better
Because, I was important
In the life of a child.

- Helping to decorate the halls and classrooms for Sunday School!
- Teachers and Shepherds for the 2011-2012 Sunday School year
In order to help assure the safety of our children and the integrity of our volunteers we have several policies for volunteering:
- You must be a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and have attended for at least six months. If you are transferring from another Lutheran church where you were an active member in good standing, you may volunteer prior to the end of a three month time period with the okay of the pastor and Director of Youth and Family Ministry and under their direct supervision.
- You must fill out an application to volunteer and have a criminal background check run.
If you would like to be considered as a driver for youth events you must also fill out a driver form.
